The Department of Biological Sciences at Western Michigan University seeks applications for an academic year tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, beginning in Fall 2022, pending budgetary approval.



We invite applications from candidates who investigate problems in genetics/genomics and who complement existing strengths in the department. The successful candidate is expected to establish an extramurally-funded research program, mentor Master's and PhD students and foster development of an equitable and diverse learning environment. They will also provide service to the university and department and teach graduate and undergraduate courses in their area of expertise, which may include courses in genetics or genomics. A PhD and relevant post-doctoral experience are required. Many opportunities for collaboration exist across the university, in the Kalamazoo community, and with the WMU Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine.
