Assistant or Associate Professor of Software Engineering (Tenure Track)
The Engineering Division at Penn State Great Valley is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of software engineering for Fall 2024 or as agreed upon.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching six courses per academic year to graduate students, advising, mentoring and engaging with students in and out of the classroom, conducting academic research, and performing program, campus, and University service assignments commensurate with experience and rank.
Teaching assignments will include both online and on-campus instruction the field of software engineering, in topics such as software design, architecture, and construction, software testing, and contemporary software platforms, methods, processes, and tools.
A Ph.D. in software engineering, computer science, information science and technology or a closely related field is required by the employment start date for the rank of Assistant Professor. Those who have also made significant achievements within their discipline may be considered for the rank of Associate Professor.
Located 20 miles northwest of Philadelphia, Penn State Great Valley School of Graduate Professional Studies is a special mission campus of The Pennsylvania State University. The School enjoys a central location in a corporate center among world-class corporate neighbors in a rapidly growing technological corridor. Graduate students are working professionals.
