About the Position:
Housing and Residential Engagement provides residence hall and apartment style living for approximately 2,000 students that is safe, clean and very convenient. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Housing Technology Coordinator (Administrative Analyst/Specialist-Exempt I). The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Under the general direction of the Associate Director, Administration and Conference Services, the Technology Coordinator is responsible for contributing to the day to day administrative functions of a year-round student housing community. Specific areas of coordination of departmental business operations include: development, implementation, use and training of student housing management system, creation and testing of student housing and employment applications and student housing portal management as well as departmental information technology coordination in regards to meeting room, student work station and mobile technology, cable television account monitoring and liaison between university information technology and student housing. Development, implementation, testing and training of student housing access management system to provide access (entry) to residents to ensure maximum safety measures are maintained. Development, implementation, testing and training of student meal plan management system to provide access to residents to ensure seamless support is maintained. Serves as primary webmaster and administrator. Maintains files, processes documents and records, gathers data, and interacts with and solves problems for department customers and staff. Serves as a member of the Housing and Residential Engagement full-time staff and represents the department on campus-side committees, initiatives, etc. Other duties as assigned.


Essential Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving the study, analysis, evaluation, development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs plus two years of related experience.

Working knowledge of and the ability to apply standard theories, principles, practices, and techniques applicable to the program or administrative specialty to develop conclusions and make recommendations. Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to the applicable program or administrative specialty. Working knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques. Ability to take initiative and plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved. Skilled in research, development, and evaluation of policies and programs. Ability to collect, evaluate, and interpret data to develop sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations. Expertise investigating and analyzing problems with broad administrative impact and implications. Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively. Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret, organize, and present information and ideas in written or presentation form. Ability to train others on new skills and procedures and provide lead work direction.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.


Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Housing and Residential Engagement experience including use of housing management, access, and meal plan systems (i.e. StarRez, Persona, Atrium, etc.). Familiarity with web design technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Working knowledge of computer programming, including familiarity in at least one programming language like C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, etc. Familiarity working with database software, SQL commands, database schemas, etc.
