UC San Diego and the Rady Children's Hospital wish to recruit a fellowship-trained pediatric epileptologist who has expertise in the broad spectrum of epileptic conditions in the pediatric population, with respect to both current diagnostic and treatment approaches. The successful candidate will join an existing group of pediatric epileptologists who participate in all aspects of pediatric epilepsy care - including, but not limited to, epilepsy surgery, clinical drug trials, vagus nerve stimulation, and the ketogenic diet. The comprehensive epilepsy program at Rady Children's Hospital is fully accredited by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (at the highest level of distinction - Level IV).

The Division of Pediatric Neurology at the Rady Children's Hospital (https://www.rchsd.org/) is an integral part of the UCSD Department of Neurosciences and, as such, fully participates in the exciting new developments within the Department and the distinguished Neurosciences community at UC San Diego. The Division provides comprehensive neurological clinical care to the children of San Diego County and beyond. At present, the Division is comprised of 24 child neurologists, 10 pediatric neurology residents, and an extensive team of trainees and allied health professionals. Excellence in clinical care, education and research spans all subspecialty areas of pediatric neurology, including but not limited to epilepsy, neurodevelopmental disorders, brain cancer, stroke, brain injury, headache, neonatal neurology, movement disorders, demyelinating disorders, neurogenetics, and neuromuscular disorders.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate of Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
