Position description

The Department of Psychiatry (https://psychiatry.ucsd.edu/) within the School of Medicine at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body.

The Department of Psychiatry is conducting an open search for Specialists, Project Scientists and Research Scientists at the Assistant, Associate or Full level in various disciplines illuminating the nature, mechanisms, and treatment of various neuropsychiatric disorders (https://psychiatry.ucsd.edu/research/programs-centers/index.html).

At UC San Diego, Specialists and Project Scientists make significant and creative contributions to a research project, and Research Scientists are academic researchers who develop and lead independent research and creative programs equivalent to that required for the Ladder Rank Professor series.

Responsibilities of the successful candidates can include: performing studies and experiments, analyzing and preparing presentations and reports summarizing data, and scholarly contributions.
