Assistant Professor/Clinical Veterinarian - Comparative Medicine

Faculty/Clinical Veterinarian.

Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Comparative Medicine, in Hershey, PA is seeking applicants for a clinical veterinarian. The position provides a unique opportunity to develop an academic career in an internationally-recognized department. The individual will work with laboratory animal veterinarians, veterinary residents, veterinary technicians, veterinary pathologist, and biomedical researchers. Responsibilities include: (1) providing health care for the department's rodent and rabbit facilities and professional services to research personnel in a multi-species AAALAC-accredited laboratory animal program; (2) participating in teaching and training of veterinary residents, graduate students and medical students; and (3) developing collaborative research interests. This is a non-tenure track appointment at the Assistant Professor level. Applicants must have a DVM or VMD degree, successfully completed a residency/training program in laboratory animal medicine, be licensed to practice in at least one state, and have US citizenship or permanent resident status. Board certification or eligibility in Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM) is required. Salary and benefits are generous and will be based on experience and qualifications.
