Assistant Professor for Mechanical Engineering

Penn State Berks (Reading, PA) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Engineering, beginning August 2023 or when agreed upon. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Teaching courses such as Engineering Statics, MATLAB, Vibrations, Robotics, System Dynamics, and other courses in the BS in Mechanical Engineering and BS in Electromechanical Engineering Technology programs.
  • This position carries a teaching load of nine contacts (approximately 3 courses) per semester.
  • The successful candidate will conduct robust research that leads to publications in scholarly journals, will advise students, and will provide service to the program, division, college, community, and profession.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Applicants are required to have an earned doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field by the employment start date.


SCHEDULE:

  • The review will begin November 15, 2022, for an employment start date in the fall semester (August 2023) or when agreed upon.
