Assistant Professor for Mechanical Engineering

Penn State Berks (Reading, PA) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Engineering, beginning August 2023 or when agreed upon. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teaching courses such as Engineering Statics, MATLAB, Vibrations, Robotics, System Dynamics, and other courses in the BS in Mechanical Engineering and BS in Electromechanical Engineering Technology programs.
This position carries a teaching load of nine contacts (approximately 3 courses) per semester.
The successful candidate will conduct robust research that leads to publications in scholarly journals, will advise students, and will provide service to the program, division, college, community, and profession.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants are required to have an earned doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field by the employment start date.

SCHEDULE:

The review will begin November 15, 2022, for an employment start date in the fall semester (August 2023) or when agreed upon.
