Job Description
The BAS Controls Engineer (BACE) maintains a comfortable and safe environment through the management of the Building Automation System (BAS), lighting control systems, and monitoring based commissioning systems. The BAS Controls Engineer works as the campus subject matter expert pertaining to Building Automation Systems. The Building Automation Systems are implemented in every major construction project at BU to provide high quality of HVAC control, comfort, and energy savings in high performance buildings.
What you'll do:
You'll work within a team on the maintenance and operation of the Building Automation Systems with periodic updates, repairs, and improvements. Including the management and updating of Graphics, Programming, Alarming, Checkout and Trending (GPACT) on all Building Automation Systems.

Required Skills
Associate degree, vocational education training, or technical degree in a related field.
Must be proficient with common computer software including Windows and Office suites.
Working knowledge of building systems and operations including HVAC, Power, and Life Safety systems
Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
Ability to work independently or in a group.
Must successfully pass background checks as determined by the University at the time of hire and continue to meet standards of the background check throughout the period of employment.
Willing to learn and operate new software.
1-3 years related experience with maintenance, repair, or installation of Building Automation Systems.
Must have and maintain a valid Massachusetts Driver's License.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelors degree in a related field.
Experience with simple Graphic Design.
Experience with Schneider Electric Continuum or EcoStruxure.
Experience with Distech ECnet 4.
Experience with Siemens Insight.
Experience with Johnson Metasys.
Experience with digital logic design.
Experience with computer programming languages.
